The Department of Statistics and Data Sciences is an internationally recognized hub for research and education in statistical science. Its faculty develop and apply novel statistical methodology in areas at the core of modern data science and provide training at all levels to enable UT graduates to flourish in an information-rich world.
TACC designs and operates some of the world's most powerful high performance computing systems. The center's mission is to enable discoveries that advance science and society through the application of advanced computing technologies.

Computing is integral to essentially every academic discipline at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to the core strengths provided by units for which computing is central to their mission, there is substantial additional computing leadership found across campus.
